Annie Mo’s is a three Decade old interior store started by Judith Mcdonald when her first daughter Emily was born. Today the mother daughter duo run the store on Union Street, of Aberdeen, which is the heart of the city center. Annie Mo’s is a leading home furniture retailer providing unique home furniture and Decor. They boast of 5000 plus products overall on their website and a huge warehouse to house all their stocks closer to the main store. Since the time the website began, even though Judith was not a technically inclined person she has been managing the backend incredibly well for all these years.
Bilva Connect joined hands with Annie Mo’s in March 2022 and continued with them ever since.
This is an appreciative post on account of a 2 year anniversary with our earliest and one of our favorite clients in Scotland.
Nagashree Ramamurthy, our founder, started working part time with Annie Mo’s as a student, and began doing video content, by then they already had an active instagram account, after she started working there, the reels section began for Annie Mo’s Interiors. Lots of help and guidance came from Emily Mcdonald, who runs day-to-day operations at the store.
Our sincere and heartfelt Thanks to Judith Mcdonald, John Clifford and the entire staff at Annie Mo’s, Norma, Alona, Kursty, Claire and John, they are extremely kind and highly supportive to all the new ideas and implementation process. Even when there were hiccups in between the process, Judith never lost her trust in us and has stood by us at all times irrespective of the concern. This was a magnanimous support for a new immigrant who was just 4-5 months into the foreign land back then. Also Thanks to Emily who was very happy when our founder first walked into their store looking for a part-time job, she was happy to work together for social media as she was the main person who began annie mos instagram and used it exceptionally well during Covid-19 for sales and keeping in touch with all the loyal customers they had gathered in the last three decades.
Our first task was fixing the facebook link that was broken on the website, it was unable to reach annie mo’s facebook page through the website’s Facebook icon, we accessed the backend and started out by fixing the earliest problem we discovered.
The goal then was to increase visibility and further promote their already popular products. We prioritized working on their Social Media account , targeting specific audiences based on creating valuable content and implementing strategies such as keyword research, scheduled content at specific time zones and group targeted audience based on location and added relatable hashtags to increase reach.
Around the same time they reached 19.5k followers and we found a lot of consumers were interested not only in furniture but also the accessories & lighting. At Christmas time, website traffic is the highest especially between October through to New years.
Every year Annie Mo’s hold Winter Sale and Christmas night within the store where the customers are invited to look at their exclusive new products and enjoy prosecco and socialize with the rest of the Aberdeen’s Elite crowd. For Christmas night the store is specifically set up with tons of Christmas trees, baubles, hanging decorations, star tree toppers, crackers, Christmas stocking, you name it and they will have it. A special live music performance was also organized during the 2022 Christmas night. This is highly promoted and published on all their social channels and websites.
Currently, we are working on the website of Annie Mo’s newly arrived items, showcasing the latest additions to their collection & keeping their inventory fresh and up-to-date with the latest trends.
With a strong presence in Aberdeen, Annie Mo’s ensures accessibility for customers, providing both a store and warehouse in the area. Additionally, the brand offers gift vouchers, making it convenient for customers to share the joy of home decor with their loved ones.
